The Cabin
The cabin sleeps up to 2 adults in a king-size bed with top quality sprung mattress and luxury brushed cotton bedding. Treat yourself to a lie-in, with lovely views of the countryside from the little bedroom window.
The Open Plan lounge / diner with Scandi style leather chairs layered with plush cushions, reindeer throws, dining table & chairs, log burning stove and picture window with views over the lake; immersing yourself in nature from the inside out.
The huge picture window, adorned with lanterns, looks out onto the veranda and lake. As the evening draws in the cabin lights up creating something magical and almost dreamlike.

Hot Tub and Campfire Cooking
On your arrival why not take an evening dip in a steamy wood-fired hot tub heated to 38 degrees, then toast some marshmallows on the open Kadai bbq fire.
The outdoor wood fired hot tub can be heated ready for your arrival. The hot tub is sanitised and refilled with fresh water between each guest as we do not use any chemicals.
The Outdoor Kitchen
The kitchen is right next to the cabin and the gas burner and large industrial barbecue, fridge, pizza stone, excellent quality cooking equipment, crockery, cutlery and workspace.
Cooking can also be done on the open fire using the caddy which comes with the full range of cooking equipment. You can even roast a chicken over the open open fire if you’re adventurous.
Logs and fire lighters are provided.
Heating and Lighting
The Lazy Bear Site is completely off grid.
There is no electricity at the cabin, There is a solar three pin plug for charging a phone, iPad and computer.
No hairdryers please!
Battery operated lanterns and solar lights are provided in abundance. Spare, ready charged packs are provided free for charging phones or an iPad.
The cabin is heated by the wood burning stove plus there is an extra layer of sheep’s wool insulation in the walls to keep the cabin warm in the cooler months (fire lighters and wood are provided).
Bathroom Facilities
The compost glamping toilet has moved on to a completely new level, I don’t want to spoil the surprise but just open the chest of drawers in the luxury hand-built toilet hut.
Invigorate yourself in the wonderful galvanised shower room with a unique wooden sink, plenty of hot running water and luxury toiletries.
Towels and toiletries are all provided.
The shower and toilet are 100 yards from the cabin.
